Like all of Lamarche's 2008s, the bouquet is disjointed at first and takes its time to meld together. Eventually, the bouquet is very fragrant and perfumed, with light red-berried fruit, rose-petals, orange rind and then with further time, raspberry coulis. The palate is medium-bodied with firm backbone, very good weight on the mid-palate, rustic red-berried fruit, lovely definition although there is that austerity and dryness returning on the finish. Very fine. Drink 2013-2018+ Tasted January 2010.
